Monster Truck Rally

I haven't been on here in a few days, and I apologize, things get rather hectic when you have a 2 year old.  I've been trying to update about what has happened in the last year, and forgive me if I forget anything.

For as long as I have known my husband, I have heard him tell me about how he would one day love to get to go to a  Monster Truck Show to see Grave Digger.  All that I could tell him was "Well, maybe one day you will get to go."  Around the beginning on the year, I remember him mentioning something about the Monster Trucks were coming to Pensacola and he wanted to go.  I didn't think that it would be possible to go since we would get back from vacation a few weeks before they got to our area, but I said that I would think about it, but he was able to make it and had so much fun.

The Monster Truck show was on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Pensacola Civic Center, so that morning Bryant and Bryson got up early and headed out for a fun day together.  I wasn't really feeling too great, so I stayed home, and boy was I lost.  The house was so QUIET!  I can't remember the last time it was that quiet and I had a whole day to myself.  First thing they did when they got to Pensacola was go to the mall and get something to eat.  Bryson must have been hungry, because I got a text message saying that he ate a whole slice of pizza, a breadstick, and some of Bryant's lunch as well, plus the drink!  Next up after lunch and walking around the mall for a bit, they headed to the civic center to see the show.  I was a bit concerned that Bryson wouldn't behave, being as he is 2, but Daddy said that he did excellent!

While there, it appeared that Grave Digger got a new fan in the form of a 2 year old.  Bryson would stand up and clap, cheer, and holler "Go Digger, Go" as loud as he could.  While there, Bryson got hungry again, so they hit up the concession stand.  They got a combo meal that came in a little tray that looked like Grave Digger.  The best thing about the tray was that it doubled as a hat!  Bryson didn't take it off the entire time and was still wearing it when he got home.  Now if you know Bryson at all, you would say that was a miracle.  He doesn't like to wear hats at all, but sometimes he will put one on in the stores just to humor us, but it normally doesn't stay on his head very long at all.  He enjoyed every minute of it, and that was all that he talked about for a few weeks afterwards.  Now everytime that we are in a store and go to the toy section, he immediately points out the Monster Trucks and says "Yeah, there's Digger.  There.  Look Mommy."

Pictures from Disney

Here are some of the pictures that we took while we were on vacation.  Enjoy!

Disney Vacation

Yesterday I promised that I would write all about our vacation that we took in February, so here goes:

Back around Christmas time, Bryant and I had discussed how we were going to spend our tax refund check if we got one back this year.  Originally the plans were that we were going to rent a U-haul truck and move everything from our spare bedroom to the storage shed so that we could actually have a spare bedroom and not just a room to store stuff in. We both came to the realization that that was not what we really wanted to do at all, and decided that we really needed a vacation since the last few months had been rather stressful.  Once we both came to the conclusion that a vacation was what we wanted to do, we started discussing options as to where to go.  We finally chose Disney World since Bryson is at the age where he is really starting to watch more Disney channel.  He knows all the characters and interracts with the shows that he watches, so we thought that it would be an excellent idea, and turns out it was.  After it was decided, I started to get more anxious as the days passed and would log onto the Disney vacation website and look at everything from meal plans and reservations to the parks and things to do around Orlando.

The first time that we had went to Disney with Bryson, we stayed at a resort on the property and decided that was the way to go the next time we went, so I started looking at all of the different resorts that were offered.  We chose to stay at the Disney All-Star Movie resort this time.  It was an ok resort, the only bad thing was that all 3 of the All-Star resorts were together and had to share buses to the parks.  Since our resort was the last of the 3, we had to wait a while for a bus because most of them were full when they finally got to us.  Normally, I don't have a problem with waiting, but when you add a 2 year old to the mix, it makes things a little bit difficult, so we decided that the next time we go, we will not be staying at the All-Star resort and would just stay at Pop Century like before.

We got to Orlando on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at around 2:30 or 3 PM and got checked into our room.  After getting settled in, we went down and caught a bus to go to the Magic Kingdom.  There were extended hours for resort guests that night, so we got to stay until 3 in the morning!  We walked around for a while and rode a few rides and at the end of the night we watched the firework show.  Everytime one of the fireworks would go off, Bryson would start yelling "Boom!  Yeah, there it is.  Look!' and then start calling out the colors that the fireworks were making once they popped.  Bryson fell asleep in his stroller a little after the fireworks had ended, so we decided that we were going to ride a few rides and then call it a day.  I was in line to ride Space Mountain, and wouldn't you know, as soon as I got close to the front of the line, the ride broke.  I wasn't a happy camper, but I quickly got over it.  We had fast passes to ride The Buzz Lightyear ride.  Bryant went first and I sat with Bryson, it was a really good ride.  If we hadn't of gotten the fast passes, we probably wouldn't have gotten to go on the ride at all.  The wait time was always at about 90 minutes for the standby line.  After that, we went on Splash Mountain.  That was the first time that I had ever ridden it and was shocked that I was able to walk right in and get straight on without any wait.  Pirates of the Caribean, Aladdin, and the Jungle Book rides were next.  Of course we had to ride by ourselves because Bryson was asleep and we didn't want to wake him up, but that's ok.  While I was on the magic carpet ride, Bryant had sat on a bench across from a little cart that sold the glazed pecans and was being tortured by the smell of them.  Come to find out, they were out of the pecans when we went to ask about them, but said that there would be more ready in about 20 minutes, so I decided to ride  the Jungle Book ride, (it's much better in the daytime by the way.) and said that we would get some after I got off that.   We went back to the little cart after waiting and the cast member said that they were all out the bags to put them in, so Bryant was out of luck.  We went back to the resort after that.

The next morning we got up and headed down to the food court to grab some breakfast before heading to Hollywood Studios.  While there we walked around and went in several of the stores.  Bryson got to play on the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground and had a blast.  He didn't want to get back in his sroller, so he went in kicking and screaming that he wanted to play.  After the playground we went over and he got to meet Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater.  He was as happy as a kid in a candy store about that and once again, didn't want to leave.  We finally convinced him that it was time to go and then went and rode Aerosmith's Rock'n Roller Coaster.  I think that is the best ride there.  It goes from 0-60 in about 2 seconds, so you better be holding on!  While there, Bryson got to get out of his stroller and RUN!  He really enjoyed that.  After the Rock'N Roller Coaster, we caught a show called Disney Channel Rocks,  Basically it was just a dance party of sorts with cast members singing songs from the shows on Disney Channel.  Bryson seemed to enjoy it, so we stayed and watched,  and then met Handy Manny.  After that it was lunch time.  We ate at Pizza Planet and boy was it good!  After lunch, Bryson got to meet Buzz and Woody and after that it was time to head back to the room.

On the third day, we went back to the Magic Kingdom and the first thing we did was get Bryson a haircut at the Barber Shop on Main St.  It was way overdue and he desperately needed one.  He did really well and actually sat still for the most part while the lady cut his hair.  After the haircut, it was almost time for the parade.  Bryson LOVED it!  Up next was meeting the princessess.  The wait time said 30 minutes, but I'm pretty sure that we were in line for more like an hour and 30 minutes.  Bryson fell in love when it was his turn to see the princesses!  First up was Sleeping Beauty, next was Cinderella, and finally he saw Belle.  He was in major flirt mode with all of them.  After the princesses, we were walking and happened to catch Pirate Goofy over by the Pirates of the Caribean ride with hardly a wait at all to see him.  Bryson loved meeting Goofy too, or BOOFY as he calls him.  After meeting Goofy, Bryant got in line to ride the Pirates of the Caribean ride (can you tell that that is his favorite?) and Bryson got to run in a little corner area until he couldn't run anymore.  He fell asleep in his stroller and we rode Pirates a few more times.  A cast member was telling us that Mickey and Minnie Mouse were pretty much right around the corner, so we hurried over there and stood in line and waited and waited and waited.  It felt like we waited forever, but it was so worth the wait to see the look on Bryson's face.  When he got out of the stroller to wait his turn, he was dancing in place and jumping up and down hollering "Look, Mick Mouse, Minnie Mouse.  Look!"  When it was his turn, he ran up to them and gave them the biggest hug ever.  He was so happy!  Bryson was so excited that he fell asleep shortly after we got to see the mice.  Up next was dinner and then it was back to the resort for some rest.

The next day we decided to go to Downtown Disney and walk around.  It was nice just to get out and walk and not have an agenda.  We had lunch at the T-Rex Cafe and I think that was the most money that we had ever spent on a meal in the entire time that we had been married, but it sure was good!  Bryson got to dig in the playground outside the restaurant for dinosaur bones and boy was he loving that.  He didn't want to leave even to go eat.  We finally got him calmed down a little when dinner came and he was asleep shortly after we left.  After lunch and a stop at Ghiradelli's we called it a day and headed back to our room.

The next day we ran to the Super Target to get Bryson some swim trunks and a few other things that we needed but just happened to forget to pack.  The plans for after Target and lunch were to go to Epcot to walk around the world.  We got to Epcot, but didn't stay long at all.  Bryson decided that he had had enough for one day,so we went back to the resort and hung out for the rest of the night.

Friday was a lazy day.  We hung around the resort and went swimming.  Later that night we met up with my friend Konnie who I met on an internet board when I was pregnant.  Her daughter is one day younger than Bryson.  It was really nice getting to see her again!

Saturday we went back to Epcot and walked around the world.  While there, Bryson got to meet several of the characters.  He met Stitch, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, Mary Poppins, Marie the Cat, Jasmine, and Aladdin.  It was quite an eventful day!  He liked meeting Donald and Goofy the most.  After we left Epcot, we went back to the resort for some more swimming!  The next day was checkout, so we gathered all of our stuff up and decided to go to Animal Kingdom.  After waiting for over an hour for a bus to come pick us up that wasn't full, we went ahead and called it a day and headed home.  It was so nice to be on vacation away from everything and not have to worry about anything!  We will definitely have to do it again soon.

I know that this post was long, but I hope that you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed reliving the memories from our vacation.  And on a side note, I just want to say that it's a good thing that I put all of the things that we were doing while on vacation on Facebook, otherwise I probably wouldn't have remembered.

Life in the fast lane

It occured to me the other day that I haven't updated my blog about Bryson in a while.  When I logged on, I was shocked to see that it had been almost a year!  As the saying goes, time flies when you are having fun, and boy does that ring true.  A lot of stuff has happened since I have last blogged.  Some good, some bad, but mostly fun!  I don't remember everything that happened because a year is a long time to remember things without writing them down.  I think I need to write myself a note to get on here and blog more often.

So much has happened since the last blog that I can't remember everything. The most important thing was that Bryson turned 2.  Most people say that the 2's are terrible, but Bryson hasn't been that bad.  He gets really tempermental when he is going through a growth spurt, but other than that, he's your typical 2 year old boy.  He's always on the go, into everything, and asks a ton of questions.  For his second birthday, we just had a small dinner for family.  We went to Sonny's barbecue and after dinner, we had a cookie cake and opened presents.  He got a ton of new Thomas the Train toys that he didn't have as well as a gift card and some clothes.  Since it was just a small family gathering, the only otherpeople there besides us were Aunt Rebecca, Uncle Ken, cousins Gabriel, Xavier, & Sebastian, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Stephanie.  It was really nice to have almost the whole family together.  Bryant's parents decided that they didn't want to be there and went to Destin, FL instead.

Shortly after his second birthday he willingly gave up his paci.  I was really surprised at how easy it was, but then again he transitioned from a bottle to a sippy cup pretty easy as well.  He came up to me one night and handed me his paci and told me that it was broke and asked if I could fix it.  He had bitten the tip completely off of the pacifier.  I told him that I couldn't fix it and that we didn't have anymore.  We had a few more floating around the house somewhere, but that was the only one that we could find at the time.  When he went to bed that night, he kept asking for the paci and I had to explain to him that he had broken it and there wasn't another one.  I gave him the broken one, so he put it in his mouth and then decided that he didn't want it because it was broken.  He whimpered for about 15-20 minutes and then fell asleep.  The next day he didn't ask for the paci at all, which was kind of shocking to me.  A few weeks after he had been paci free, he found 2 of them under our bed while looking for a toy that had fallen.  He popped up and acted like he had hit the jackpot.  Luckily he had been chewing on the paci's so the tips were pretty much gone anyway.  We grabbed them from him as quick as we could and finished ripping the ends off.  Bryson cried for a few minutes and then was fine.  If I would have known it was that easy to get rid of the thing, I would have cut the tips of them off a long time ago!

In October we took two trips.  The first was to Indiana to see my family and go to a family reunion.  We stayed for almost a full week up there and Bryson got to see everyone that he normally doesn't get to see except in pictures.  He seemed to really enjoy it.  While we were there, we went to something called Harvest Homecoming.  It's kind of like a fall festival.  There are booths set up with people selling things, lots of fair food, and rides.  The first ride he rode was the slide.  He loved it and didn't want to get off.  He wanted to go again.  The next thing he rode was the carousel.  He was terrified of it and wanted off as soon as it started to move.  I rode with him and sure did have my hands full trying to keep him on the horse.  He was climbing, kicking, and screaming.  He was not a happy camper until the ride was stopped and his feet were safely back on the ground.  We didn't attempt to put him on any other rides after that, but he did ride the slide one more time and that seemed to calm him down from the carousel incident.  When we ran out of tickets, he had a complete meltdown and wanted to ride the slide, or lide as he calls it, again.  By the time we got back to the car, he was fast asleep, so I'm pretty sure that most of the meltdown was brought on by it being close to nap time.  The next trip that we took was at the end of the month.  We went to Talledega, AL for the weekend and saw a NASCAR race.  We chose to go camping at the racetrack because it was free and that seemed like a good option until we got there.  A storm had came through and the weather turned super cold!  It was cold enough that we had to buy heaters for the tents and go to Walmart and buy some emergency blankets.  Our tickets were for the whole weekend, so the Nationwide race was on Saturday and the Cup race was on Sunday.  On Saturday, we walked up to the track from the campsite and started to watch the race.  Bryson was already wore out by the time we got there because it was a good 2 mile walk and they don't allow you to bring strollers in and of course Mr. Independant wanted to walk.  He made it about a quarter of the way through the race and then wanted to go to sleep.  He doesn't like to be held, so it was kind of difficult there.  I decided that I would take him back to the tent and we could take a nap since I was a little tired as well.  On the way back to the tent, he was good as gold!  I guess racing just wasn't his thing that day.  Later that night after we all got up from our naps, we walked back to the racetrack for the Halloween festivities.  This time we were allowed to take the stroller!  Bryson didn't make it all the way to the track before he fell asleep.  The next day was a lot better.  He didn't beg to go back to the tent and was pretty content watching the cars for a little while before he decided that he was bored and done with it.  He then proceeded to play with some of his trains that I had put in purse.  Overall it was a pretty good experience.

Not too long before Thanksgiving, he was diagnosed with a speech delay and it was reccomended that he be put into speech therapy.  He goes every Wednesday morning.

Thanksgiving and Christmas came next.  Nothing really exciting happened at Thanksgiving and Christmas was really nice.  He got way more toys than he needed, but he enjoyed what he got and he still plays with everything.  New Years Eve we stayed home and watched tv.  He didn't make it to see the ball drop to bring in the new year, but that's ok, because Mommy didn't either.

Valentine's Day was the next holiday, and we consider that more of a Halmark Holiday, so we don't really celebrate it.  I had a doctor's appointment that day, so Aunt Rebecca watched him for a few hours.  When I went to pick him up, she handed me a home-made card that he had "colored" in and a disc with some pictures that she had taken of him.  Even though we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, that was the best present that I could have ever gotten!  Next up was our vacation, but that is going to be a whole different post, so I hope that you enjoyed reading!

18 month pictures

Here are a few of the pictures from Bryson's 18 month photoshoot. They were all taken in Lynn Haven, FL by Rebecca Knowles Photography. Feel free to check out her website at www.RebeccaKnowles.com. She sure had her work cut out for her.  But they all turned out great!  We hope that you enjoy them as much as we do.

Monkey tasted really good!

He was doing the FSU warchant and chop.

He runs so fast!!

April has been a busy month!

On Saturday, April 3rd, Bryson had a birthday party to attend. The birthday party was for a friend whose daughter turned 1. It was held at Under The Oaks Park in Parker. The party was lots of fun and Bryson got to interract with children his own age as well as on the playground and have a good lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill. It was lots of fun!

Last Sunday was Easter Sunday and the Easter bunny visited our house long enough to drop off a basket for Bryson. That bunny was rather stingy this year and didn't leave hardly any candy at all! He did however leave an Elmo basket that was full of toys for Bryson to play with. There were lots of things in the basket: 2 Thomas the Train dvd's, 1 Veggietales dvd, a chocolate rabbit, some Elmo-shaped eggs, 2 Lightning McQueen-shaped eggs, a slinky, a few trucks, a ball or two, and some bubbles. Later in the day, we went to have Easter dinner with the family and celebrated my oldest nephew's 8th birthday. It was the 2nd birthday party that we had attended that week. All in all, it was a great day. There was a little a little bit of candy, an egg hunt, dinner, family, and good times.

Bryson got his 18 month pictures taken on Friday, April 9, 2010 by Rebecca Knowles. We visited in the studio in Lynn Haven, FL and got a few outfit changes in as well as some really great pictures!

The next day, our litle family got in the car and headed to Tallahassee, FL for the day to watch the Florida State Seminole Garnet & Gold practice game. We got there a little bit early and was able to watch half of the FSU vs. UF Lacrosse game. The Seminoles won 25-9. I had never been to a Lacrosse game, but it was very interesting. After the Lacrosse game was over, practice started for the football game. Our seats were on the 25 yard line in the first row. Can you really get better seats than that??? I don't think so!!!! During the warm-up, Bryson decided to get a better look to see what was going on and ended up getting into a fight with the concrete wall. Needless to say, the wall won and bloodied Bryson's nose. He cried for a bit, but he's a tough little guy and didn't act like it bothered him the rest of the day. He really enjoyed the game, but I think that he enjoyed the cheerleaders even more! ;) Every time they were cheering in front of us, he kept saying "I love you!" and chatting with them. It was rather funny to us and everyone around us. We ended up leaving just a little bit before the game ended because it was about nap time. The final score ended up being Gold 29- Garnet 17.

Today, we went to the park since Daddy was off and it was so nice out! We all had lots of fun. Maybe if it's nice outside tomorrow we will go back. We still have a busy month ahead of us. This weekend, we will be going to Mobile, AL for a bridal shower on Saturday and church on Sunday. The following week, we will be going to Indiana to visit with my family and attend a wedding.

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated.

So, a lot has happened since the last time that this thing was updated. Several holidays, a doctor appointment or two, a few first things, and 2 vacations have passed. I guess that I should go in order (to the best of my knowledge) of the things that have came and went without being documented.

A vacation to the state of Indiana was up first. The trip started out great and we were making good time. We left at around 11pm and drove through the night so that Bryson would sleep on the way. We stopped for breakfast at McDonald's in Cullman, AL and Bryson ate quite a bit. He had some pancackes, eggs, biscuits, bacon, and of course some milk. After eating, he wanted to run around to burn off some energy and stretch his legs after being cooped up in his car seat all night. The next stop, was at a gas station around the TN/KY state line and it was not fun at all. Bryson got sick all of a sudden for the first time ever. He wasn't running a fever, just vomiting everywhere. After changing his outfit and cleaning him up, we were back on the road. We stopped at a rest area so that we could all get out and get some fresh air, use the restroom, get new diapers, etc., etc. Shortly after leaving the rest area, I got a phone call from my brother Thomas when we were about 20 miles outside of Louisville, KY telling me that my dad was in the hospital and that we should come there first. As soon as we got into the town of New Albany, IN, Bryson got sick again. We weren't so sure what was wrong with him. Upon arriving at the emergency room to see what was wrong with my dad, Bryson got sick once again. While we were there, we decided to go ahead and get Bryson checked out. The doctor that saw us couldn't find anything wrong and said that it was more than likely a stomach virus and to give him Pedialyte for the next 24 hours instead of milk. The next day(Saturday, October 10) was the family reunion for my side of the family. Bryson had been feeling much better when he woke up that morning, so we decided to go. The reunion went ok, I was able to see a lot of my family that I hadn't seen in a few years. Later that night, we got checked into our hotel room and went to the Harvest Homecoming, which is a carnival with rides, booths, games, lots of good food, and a ton of people.

We had an amazing view of the Ohio River from our hotel room! While we were on vacation, we didn't really get much of a chance to do anything since all of us ended up being sick. I did get to visit with a good friend from high school that I hadn't seen in years, as well as a good friend that used to be my neighbor!!! After all of us were better, it was time to head home. We stopped at Toys R Us and noticed that the back tire on the car was flat and the car was leaking gasoline. The car was then taken to Walmart about 2 blocks away to get the tire fixed. After waiting at Walmart for over an hour, we were informed that they could not change the tire on the car because fuel was pouring out. Luckily, there was a Chevrolet dealership across the street that we were able to take the car to and get it fixed. Praise the Lord, we didn't have to pay a dime to get it fixed because it was a factory problem and under warranty! Finally we made it home with no more problems!

Halloween was next. Bryson went as a pirate for Halloween this year and as usual, was adorable. We went out to Pier Park for trick-or-treating and Bryson ended up getting about a half a bag of candy. Of course all of it was for mommy and daddy, since he was still too little to eat it. After a long night of trick or treating, we went to Margaritaville for dinner and had a great time! The lady that was on stilts making balloon animals kept coming over and smiling at him and of course he would smile and talk right back. He seems to be very popular with the ladies. Lol.

Thanksgiving was next. It was held at my brother-in-laws new house and was an overall great family dinner with the exception of Bryant having to leave to go to work. As always, Bryson had a ton of fun running around and playing with his cousins. He was even able to participate in the football game although he had no idea what was really going on. As long as you have fun though, that's all that really matters.

Christmas came next and Bryson made out like a bandit! When Daddy came home from work Christmas morning, he came upstairs to wake us up so that we could see what was under the tree. Bryson had so much fun opening up all of his presents. He didn't quite understand that there were multiple presents to open and got mad that he couldn't play with the first toy that he opened, which just so happened to be one of several books. After presents, we got ready to go to my sister-in-laws house for Christmas dinner where Bryson got more presents to open. He was too excited about playing with his cousins and their new toys to open his presents. After finally taking a break, he got excited that there were things for him to open and tore into the packages.

New Years Eve and New Years Day is up next on the list. New Years Eve, we loaded up in the car and headed out to Pier Park for the New Years Eve festivities. There were 7,500 beach balls that were dropped at around 10 or so for the kids. Bryson was lucky enough to get 2 of them. There wasn't really much to do after getting a beach ball, so we headed home to get to sleep and headed to Jacksonville, FL the next day for the Gator Bowl that the Florida State Seminoles were playing in. Turns out, it was the last game that Bobby Bowden coach. AS soon as we got into the parking lot of the Jacksonville Convention Center to get on the bus to take us to the stadium, Bryson started doing the Seminole chop and the warchant. He chopped and chanted the whole game. It was an excellent game, despite the cold and rain, agaist West Virginia!!! Florida state ended up winning the game and Coach Bowden was carried off the field.

A vacation to Disney World came up in February!! We stayed at the Pop Century Resort and will most likely end up staying there again because it was really nice and had great service from the staff. We all had such a wonderful time while we were there. On the first full day of vacation, we went to the Magic Kingdom where Bryson got his first haircut ever at the Barber shop on Main Street. To document the haircut, we got to keep a packet of Bryson's hair, a certificate, and a pair of Mickey ears that had the words "my first haircut" embroidered on it. While walking down Main Street, we happened to catch the first parade of the day and Bryson got super excited and started clapping and saying "Yay!" We then rode several rides and saw a few shows before having lunch at the Cantina across from Pirates of the Carribean. After lunch, we walked around Disney some more and Bryson met most of the Princesses. He fell in love with Sleeping Beauty and she planted a big kiss on his forehead. Cinderella was next in line and then Belle. As long as the characters weren't in a full-out costume, Bryson did fine with them and wasn't scared. Daddy finally got to ride the Dumbo ride! Overall, it was a great day!! Disney's Hollywood Studios was the next day and Bryson got to meet Mator, Lightning McQueen, and Handy Manny! He was so excited, as they are a few of his favorites. We saw the Mickey Mouse Playhouse show and Bryson LOVED it. He was dancing and clapping his hands the whole time! The best part of Hollywood Studios for Mommy and Daddy was the Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster. Got to love the fast pass! We went to Epcot the next day and, like every time we go to Epcot, it poured down rain on us. We did however get to ride Test Track though, and that was fabulous. We also got to meet several other Disney characters including: Snow White, Chip & Dale, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto. Bryson was more interested in running around instead of meeting the characters. Later that night, we all went to the Olive Garden to meet a friend from an online board for September 2008 babies for dinner. It was so nice to meet them in person. Bryson had a blast with Julianne and was just chatting away. Our last day at Disney World, we spent at Animal Kingdom. There wasn't much to it and after spending the day at the park, we headed home.

March came in like a lamb and Bryson got sick for the 2nd time. He was running a fever of 103.7 on a Saturday, so he was promptly taken to the Emergency Room since his doctor's office was closed. The doctors at the E.R. didn't know what was wrong with him because he had no other symptoms besides the fever. He was given a shot of antibiotics and when the fever came down we were told that it was quite possibly a viral infection and to come back the next day for a follow-up. Upon arriving, his fever was up to 104.1 and he was given another shot of antibiotics along with a prescription for amoxicillan and told that it was probably a sinus infection or an ear infection, but they didn't know. We were released while his fever was still 102.7. Bryson was miserable for a few days and then developed a cough and runny nose. He finally got better and around the end of the month had his 18 month check-up where he received 1 shot and weighed 24lbs and was 30.2 inches tall. Everything looked good at his appointment and he won't have to go back until he turns 2 and then it will just be for checkups and no more shots until he starts kindergarten!!!!! That was great news to hear.

Well, April is here now and we have a ton of stuff to do this month. I'll update more later. Ta-ta for now
