Memorial Day

Memorial Day was on Monday, May 25th this year. Memorial Day is a day to celebrate all of the people in the military who gave their life so that we can have the freedom that we have today. I would like to personally say Thank You. Memorial Day also is the unofficial first day of summer and is usually celebrated by family cookouts and get togethers. Our family was no different and got together for a cookout at Stephanie's shop. (Stephanie is my brother-in-laws girlfriend) Mike was manning the grill and there were water slides and inflatable rides set up. It was a lot of fun.

Bryson got to go swimming for the first time. At first, he was a little bit scared of the water and would not even touch in. He warmed up to it pretty quick though. He started out just standing in the little pool and then decided to sit down. After that, he was all over the place. It was a lot of fun to see him splashing, crawling around, and enjoying himself in the water. Hopefully there will be a lot more playing in the water this summer, maybe even a few trips to the beach!!

Here are a few pictures of him playing in the water that were taken with my cell phone.

Getting started!!

Hi to everyone who reads this!! I started this blog to follow my son as he grows. There is so much for him to learn and do, and I don't want to miss a minute of it.
Bryson was born on Wednesday September 3, 2008 at 9:53am at Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, FL. He was born a month early, but was perfect in every single way and was my miracle. I thank God every day for him. He weighed 5lbs and 4oz and was 18" long. He did not need oxygen or have to go to the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) and was able to spend the night in the room with me and my husband.
The past 8.5 months have really flown by!! It seems like my little man just got here yesterday.
In the past few months, he has learned how to crawl, pull to a stand, clap his hands, say words like: "mama", "dada", and "hey". It is so amazing to watch him and see what new thing that he is going to do next. He now has 2 bottom teeth that came in on the same day. He is currently teething again and has been working really hard to try and walk.
Here are a few pictures that his wonderful and talented aunt took of him when he was about 4 months old.
